Bill Redirect has been the go-to software to integrate Mettler Toledo scales with Windows applications since 2003. Whether your Mettler scale uses a classic RS-232 serial port or a modern USB connection, Bill Redirect reads the weight stream, optionally parses or filters it, and forwards it directly to the active field of your shipping software, Excel sheet, web browser, POS terminal, or custom ERP.
It works with virtually every Mettler Toledo model used in shipping and parcel weighing:
The same simple process whether you're using a brand-new scale or one you've owned for 15 years.
Download from billproduction.com and run the installer. Works on Windows 98 through Windows 11, both 32 and 64-bit.
Plug the RS-232 cable into a COM port (or USB-to-serial adapter for newer PCs). For USB Mettler scales like PS60, just plug into a USB port.
Open Bill Redirect → COM port settings → select your scale's port. Default Mettler Toledo settings: 9600 baud, 8 data bits, no parity, 1 stop bit.
Place a known weight on the scale and check that Bill Redirect's RX window shows the weight stream. The default Mettler protocol sends weight followed by CR/LF.
Pick 'Send to keyboard' for universal compatibility, or 'Send to specific field' if you want to lock it to one app like parcel shipping software.
Open any Windows-based shipping software, or any other software, place the cursor in the weight field, and weigh your package. The weight appears automatically.

All compatible scales →Yes. The PS90 is one of the most common scales we support. It works either via the RS-232 serial port or USB. Default settings: 9600 baud, 8N1. The PS90 also has a 'continuous' mode that Bill Redirect can read and filter so only stable weights are sent.
Yes. The PS60 USB connects as a USB HID device. Bill Redirect reads it through our USB scale module and forwards the weight as keystrokes. No special Mettler driver is required.
Yes. Use a standard 25-to-9 pin RS-232 adapter (any DB25-to-DB9 null-modem or pass-through cable). Bill Redirect doesn't care about the physical connector, only the data stream.
Yes. Bill Redirect captures the continuous stream and can be configured to only send the weight when it's stable (using filters on the stability flag) or only on a button press / hotkey.
Yes. Bill Redirect supports TCP/IP connections in addition to RS-232 and USB. Configure the IP address and port of your Mettler scale (or use the Serial-over-Ethernet plugin) and Bill Redirect treats it like any other source.
